ΤΟ

CHARLES JOSEPH HARFORD,

DEAR SIR,

ESQ. F.S.A.

I HAVE much pleasure in dedicating this volume to you, because you have manifested, on many occasions, a laudable and zealous attachment to archæological literature, and to the antiquities of your native city in particular. Among the public edifices of Bristol, there is no one more celebrated, than REDCLIFFE CHURCH. As a whole

it is grand and imposing: and its details are curious, beautiful, and elegant. Το display these characteristics, and elucidate the history of the building, is the express object of this volume, which is inscribed to you, with feelings of respect, and very sincere pleasure,

July 1813.

BY

THE AUTHOR.
