High on thy Father's throne,
O look with pity down!
Help, O help! attend my call,
Captive lead captivity;

King of glory, Lord of all,

Christ, the Lord, be King to me.
I pant to feel thy sway,
And only thee t' obey:
Thee my spirit gasps to meet;

This my one, my ceaseless prayer
Make, O make my heart thy seat!
O set up thy kingdom there!
4 Triumph and reign in me,
And spread thy victory:
Hell, and death, and sin control
Pride, and wrath, and every foes
All subdue: through all my soul,
Conq'ring and to conquer go.

Hymn 75. C. M.

ORD, I believe thy every word
Thy every promise true:

And lo! I wait on thee, my Lord,
Till I my strength renew.

2 If in this feeble flesh I may

Awhile show forth thy praise;
Jesus, support the tott'ring clay,
And lengthen out my days.

3 If such a worm as I can spread
The common Saviour's name,

4 Fain would I learn of thee, my God,
Thy light and easy burden prove,
The cross, all stain'd with hallow'd blood,
The labour of thy dying love.

5 I would; but thou must give the power;
My heart from every sin release;
Bring near, bring near the joyful hour,
And fill me with thy perfect peace.

6 Come, Lord, the drooping sinner cheer,
Nor let thy chariot-wheels delay;
Appear in my poor heart, appear;
My God, my Saviour, come away!

Hymn 78. P. M.

1IGHT of life, seraphic fire,
Love divine, thyself impart

Every fainting soul inspire;
Shine in every drooping heart
Every mournful sinner cheer,
Scatter all our guilty gloom:
Son of God, appear, appear!
To thy human temples come,
2 Come in this accepted hour;

Bring thy heavenly kingdom in ;
Fill us with thy glorious power,
Rooting out the seeds of sin :
Nothing more can we require,
We will covet nothing less;
Be thou all our hearts' desire,

All our joy and all our peaces

Hymn 79. P. M.

OD of all-redeeming grace, By thy pard'ning love compell'd, Up to thee our souls we raise, Up to thee our bodies yield; Thou our sacrifice receive,

Acceptable through thy Son, While to thee alone we live, While we die to thee alone.

2 Meet it is, and just, and right, That we should be wholly thine'; In thy only will unite,

In thy blessed service join: O that every work and word,

Might proclaim how good thou art; Holiness unto the Lord,

Still be wrote upon my heart!

Hymn 80. C. M.

'LET him to whom we now belong,

His sov'reign right assert;

And take up every thankful song,
And every loving heart.

2. He justly claims us for his own,
Who bought us with a price:
The Christian lives to Christ alone,
To Christ alone he dies.

3 Jesus, thine own at last receive,
Fulfil our hearts' desire;

And let us to thy glory live,
And in thy cause expire.

4 Our souls and bodies we resign;
With joy we render thee

Our all, no longer ours, but thine,
To all eternity.

Hymn 81. P. M.

EHOLD the servant of the Lord!

Bwait thy guiding eye to feel,

To hear and keep thy every word,
To prove and do thy perfect will;
Joyful from my own works to cease,
Glad to fulfil all righteousness.

2 Me, if thy grace vouchsafe to use,
Meanest of all thy creatures, me,
The deed, the time, the manner choose;
Let all my fruit be found of thee;
Let all my works in thee be wrought,
By thee to full perfection brought.

3 My every weak, though good design,

O'errule, or chauge, as seems thee meet: Jesus, let all my work be thine,

Thy work, O Lord, is all complete,
And pleasing in thy Father's sight;
Thou only hast done all things right.

4 Here then to thee thine own I leave,
Mould as thou wilt thy passive clay;
But let me all thy stamp receive,
But let me all thy words obey:
Serve with a single heart and eye,
And to thy glory live and die.

Hymn 82. P. M. FATHER, Son, and Holy Ghost,

One in Three, and Three in One, As by the celestial host,

Let thy will on earth be done: Praise by all to thee be given, Glorious Lord of earth and heaven.

2 If so poor a worm as I

May to thy great glory live, All my actions sanctify,

All my words and thoughts receive.
Claim me, for thy service claim,
All I have, and all I am.

3 Take my soul and body's powers!
Take my mem'ry, mind, and will,
All my goods and all
my hours,
All I know and all I feel,

All I think, or speak, or do;

Take my heart; but make it new!

4 Now, O God, thine own I am;

Now I give thee back thine own;
Freedom, friends, and health, and fame,
Consecrate to thee alone:
Thine I live, thrice happy I;

Happier still if thine I die.

5 Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

One in Three, and Three in One,

As by the celestial host,

Let thy will on earth be done :

Praise by all to thee be given,
Glorious Lord of earth and heaven.
