The Psalmist recites the mercies of JEHOVAH, in hearing prayer, and granting successive deliverances to his Church. 10 ALL ye lands, with joy proclaim The honours of JEHOVAH's name; His enemies, dismay'd, retreat, 2 All the wide earth, before Thy throne, 3 0 come, behold the works of God; 4 O come, all ye who fear the LORD, 5 Borne down, oppress'd with anxious grief, 6 Blest be our GOD, who heareth prayer, In this Psalm the Church prays for the advent o Messiah and the conversion of the nations; an foretels the joy and gladnesstof the blessings o the everlasting gospel. 1 ALMIGHTY GOD, in mercy shine, Display Thy countenance divine, 2 Thy great salvation send abroad, 3 Rise, mighty God, the world to bless, Thy government is righteousness, 4 0 let all lands one chorus raise, increase, 5 Then shall the earth yield her in Enrich'd with plenteous store; T And, laden with the fruits of peace, my belt " 6 GOD, our own GoD, our souls shall bless, Our God shall reign in righteousness, PSALM 67. ITO bless Thy chosen race, And cause the brightness of Thy face 2 O let Thy wond'rous ways Through all the world be known; While distant lands their tribute pay, And Thy salvation own. 3 Let diff'ring nations join Let all the world, Ó LORD, combine 4 0 let them shout and sing, (s. M.) For Thou, the righteous Judge and King, 5 Let all the nations join To celebrate Thy fame ; 6 Then shall the teeming ground 7 Then GOD upon our land Shall constant blessings shower, power. This sublime and beautiful Psalm is appointed by the Church for Whitsunday. It seems to have been composed on the joyful occasion of the removal of the ark to Mount Zion, 1 Chron. xx. and prophetically celebrates the ascension of MESSIAH, the descent of the Holy Spirit, and the conversion of the Gentiles. 1 LET GOD, the immortal Gop, arise, Scatter'd be all His enemies; Let praise to heav'n ascend: JEHOVAH's name for ever bless, The Father of the fatherless, The widow's GoD and Friend. 2 The great JEHOVAH gave the word; Great were the triumphs of the LORD, And victory rais'd-the song; も Kings with their armies fled apa ce, 3 The Church of CHRIST, ye saints, behold, 4 See, hosts of angels fill the sky For fallen man the Conqueror bled, To save from death and helling to 5 Lo!
