Amendment recommended by the Committee on Swamp and Overflowed Lands was adopted, and Mr. Johnson moved to further amend, as follows: Amend section one by striking out all after the word "river," in line four, up to and including the word "levee," in line nine, and insert in lieu thereof the following, "at a point on the east bank of the Sacramento River, twenty-five chains below the west end of the Pierson Levee; thence running in a northeasterly direction to the highest point on the mound commonly known as the Odell Mound; thence following the line of said mounds northerly to the southeasterly corner of the said Pierson Levee, on the Snodgrass Slough.'
