CHAP. L An ACT making an appropriation for repressing hostilities

commenced by the Seminole Indians.

Sec. 1.) Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-

sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That the sum of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars be $120,000. appro

priated.
and the same hereby is, appropriated, out of any money in the
Treas'ıry not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses
attending the suppression of hostilities with the Seminole Indians
in Florida, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary
of War, conformably to the provisions of the act of April fifth,
eighteen hundred and thirty-two, making appropriations for the

support of the army.'

CHAP. 2 An ACT to authorize the allowance of certain charges in the

accounts of the American consul at London.

Sec. 1.) Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen-

tatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

That the proper accounting officers of the Treasury be, and

he same hereby are, authorized and directed in settling the

mints of the American consul at London, to continue Allowance for

clerk hire, &c, bo
