Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you. Deut. iv. 1.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you --2.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.-5,

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.-6.

And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?—8.

Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee.-40.

Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.-Deut. v. 27.

O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!-29.

Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.-32.

Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you.-33.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart :-Deut. vi. 6.

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.-7.

Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.-17.

And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.-25.

And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways.-Deut. x. 12.

To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?-13.

These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.-Deut. xii. 1.

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.-32.

Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Deut. xiii. 4.

This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.-Deut. xxvi. 16.

Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice :-17.

...Thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.Deut. xxviii. 14.

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.-Deut. xxix. 29.

For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. -Deut. xxx. 11.

It is not in heaven, that thou shouldst say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it ?-12.

Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldst say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.-14.

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;-15.

In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that that thou mayest live and multiply.-16.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak: and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.-Deut. xxxii. 1.

My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.-2.

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest―Josh. i. 7.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make

thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good

success.-8.

Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.-13.

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.—Josh. xxii. 5.

And the word of the Lord was precious in those days.-1 Sam. iii. 1.

Samuel said to Saul,... Stand thou still awhile, that I may shew thee the word of God.-1 Sam. ix. 27.

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.-1 Sam. xiii. 13.

...Blessed be thou of the Lord: I have performed the commandment of the Lord.-1 Sam. xv. 13.

And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me.-20.

And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and
