PREFACE. THIS Volume is an attempt to meet what the author believes to be an every-day want, viz.-a practical book of short precedents of leases and common forms, such as can be readily used in a solicitor's or agent's office. The precedents are taken from those in constant use, they have all been carefully revised, and many of them settled by counsel. In the notes the author has endeavoured to embrace the leading points usually met with in practice. With the view of increasing the practical utility of the book, Parts IV. and V., relating to Stamps and Costs, have been added, and some of the more important Statutes relating to the subject have been printed in Part VI. |
