The institution is open every day, with the exception of Sundays and holidays, and the hour from 12 to 1 is set apart for children and women, and the hour from 1 to 2 P.M. for all other patients.

BANK FOR SAVINGS.

The cut on the preceding page represents the new building erected in Bleecker street, for the purposes of the old Bank for Savings, formerly situated in Chambers street.

The compiler has been induced to give a representation of this fine building, from the fact that it is a most beautiful specimen of architecture, and a structare which is peculiarly adapted for the business of the institution, and one which is unquestionably an ornament to the city. But more especially is this representation given, because the institution is the oldest of the kind in the city,

and one which has the longest been identified with its interests, and therefore more familiar to the citizens of New York.

The following is a list of the officers, as they now exist, together with a list of the principal officers from 1819 to 1858.
