Listening is important for learning and understanding, for communication and social interaction - in short, for individual world encounters and the creation of relationships. In school, however, the ability to listen is more a requirement than an educational task. In addition, unfavorable room acoustic conditions in the classroom often make listening difficult for everyone involved. The book addresses the central question of how hearing and listening can be promoted in school. A theoretically well-founded model of action shows how the diverse possibilities of cultural expression of language, music, theater, art and media can be used.
