RESOLUTION.

By Mr. Griffith (by permission):

Resolved by the Assembly, the Senate concurring, That the Mail Carrier of the Assembly be allowed fifty cents per day, in addition to his per diem, from the commencement of the session to its termination, in order to make his per diem three dollars per day for the entire session; and the Controller of State is directed to draw his warrant for the said difference on the Contingent Fund of the Assembly, and the State Treasurer is directed to pay the same.

Laid over one day.

On motion of Mr. Tobin, the House took up the following bills: Assembly Bill No. 708-An Act to appropriate money to pay for fifty copies of a work entitled Grapes and Grape-vines of California, published under the auspices of the California State Vinicultural Association.

Resolved, That the per diem of the late Honorable Robert Ludgate, from his decease to the close of the session, namely, forty-five days, amounting to the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars, be and is hereby allowed and ordered paid to his widow, Mary H. Ludgate, out of the Contingent Fund of the Assembly, and the Controller of State is hereby authorized to draw his warrant in favor of Mary H. Ludgate for the said amount of four hundred and fifty dollars.

Adopted.
