Lady Frances Seymour (fome time fince deceased), who married the late Marquis of Granby, and had by him two fons and two daughters; and Lady Charlotte Seymour, who married the prefent Earl of Aylesford, by whom the has a numerous iffue.

24. Right Hon. Gabriel Hanger, Lord Coleraine, at his feat near Maidenhead, in Berkshire, member in the last parliament for Bridgewater, in Somerfetfhire. He was created a peer of Ireland, Dec. 1, 1761, 1 George III. His Lordship ferved in two parliaments for the borough of Maidstone, in Kent, and married Elizabeth, daughter and heir of Richard Bond, of Čowbury, in the county of Hereford, Efq; by whom he had iffue three fons, John, William, and George; and one daughter, Anne.

At Malta, at a great age, Don Emanuel Pinto, the Grand-Mafter. 29. At Mofcow, in the 73d year of his age, the celebrated Count Soltikow, memorable for giving a total defeat to the King of Prullia, on the banks of the Oder near Frankfort, in the last war.

At Stobball, in Perthshire, in an advanced age, Jane DutchessDowager of Perth, Lady of James Duke of Perth, eldest son of John Chancellor of Scotland, who followed the fortunes of James VII. and was created Duke of Perth by that Prince, during his refidence at St. Germain's. She was daughter of George, firft Duke of Gordon, and great grand aunt to the prefent Duke.

William Lord Newark.-His Lordship was fon to Sir Alexander Anftruther, and Jean Lefly, Baronefs Newark; and upon her death in 1740, affumed the name of Lefly, and the title of Lord Newark.His Lordship dying without issue, the title devolves on Alexander Anftruther, Efq; merchant in Bologne, his only furviving brother.

21. At his feat at BramhamPark, in the 77th year of his age, the Right Hon. George Fox-Lane, Lord Bingley, Baron of Bingley, in Yorkshire. His Lordship reprefented the borough of Hendon, in the 8th, and the city of York in the 10th, 11th, and 12th parliaments of Great Britain. On the 12th of July, 1731, he married Harriot, only daughter and heir of [M] 4

the Right Hon. Robert Benson, late Lord Bingley, by his wife Elizabeth, eldest daughter of the Right Hon. Heneage, Lord Guernsey, af. terwards Earl of Guernsey, by whom, befides a fortune of 100,000l. in money, he obtained an eftate of 7000l. a year. On the 4th of May, 1762, his Majefty was pleafed to revive the title, by creating him Baron Bingley, with limitation to his heirs male by the faid Harriot his wife. Their only fon, the Hon. Robert Lane, who, July 29, 1761, married Lady Bridget, daughter of the Earl of Northington, dying without iffue, the title is extia&.

At Spanish-Town in Jamaica, on the 11th of December laft, as univerfally lamented at his death, as he was beloved and honoured in his government while living, his Excellency Sir William Trelawny, Bart. Governor General of that ifland. This worthy gentleman fet an example to other governors; he died in the esteem of his Sovereign, and almost adored by the people, over whom he prefided. For the particular honours paid to his memory, fee the Appendix.

At Rome, Cardinal Frederic Marcel Lante, Bishop of Porto, and Sub-Dean of the Sacred College, at the age of 78 years. He was railed to the purple by Benoit XIV. in 1743. His death makes the 14th hat vacant in the Sacred College.

At Chicklands, in Bedfordshire, the Lady of Sir George Ofborne, Bart.

After a long illness, Sir Thomas Pym Hales, Bart. of Howletts, in Kent, and Brymore in the county of Somerset, one of the reprefentatives in the prefent parliament for the port of Dover, whose ancestor, Sir Robert Hales, was created a Baronet at the Reftoration: dying without iffue male, the title defcends to his only furviving brother, Philip, one of the grooms of his Majesty's bed-chamber.
