In this and the following Psalms the subject is entirely devoted to the praise of JEHOVAH; his adorable perfections and wonderful works; the justice, mercy, majesty, and glory of his kingdom. This in the Hebrew is an alphabetical Psalm, like the 119th. 1 I WILL praise my GoD and King, Ev'ry day my anthem raise, 2 Great in power is the LORD, 3 GOD to mercy is inclin'd, * T Good to all, in all His ways, Mercy ev'ry act displays. 4 All Thy works shall bless Thy name, 5 Thy dominion shall remain, 6 Ev'ry eye on Thee shall wait, 7 Thou wilt hear the helpless cry, prove 8 All, who love Thy name, shall PSALM 145.
