Mr. Hunter, from the committee of Commerce and Manufactures, to whom was referred the bill, entitled, "An act for the relief of Isaac Lawrence and others, merchants, residing in the city of NewYork," reported it without amendment.

Mr. Hunter, from the same committee, to whom was referred the petition of William G. Ridgely, of Georgetown, in the District of Columbia, made report.

Whereupon,

Resolved, That the prayer of the petitioner ought not to be granted, and that he have leave to withdraw his petition.

Mr. Ruggles reported from the committee that they had examined and found duly enrolled, the bill entitled "An act in addition to an act. entitled 'An act for the more convenient taking of affidavits and bail in civil causes depending in the courts of the United States;" the bill entitled "An act making reservation of certain public lands to supply timber for naval purposes;" the bill entitled "An act authorizing vessels departing from the town of the Bayou St. John, and basin of the Canal de Carondelet, to clear out at the custom-house in the city of New-Orleans;" the bill entitled “ An act for the relief of the legal representatives of Ignace Chalmet Delino, deceased, and of Anthony Cruzat and L. P. Deverges;" the bill entitled "An act to enable the people of the western part of the Mississippi Territory to form a constitution and State government, and for the admission of such State into the Union on an equal footing with the original States;" the bill entitled "An act authorizing the settlement of the accounts of Flavil Sabin, deceased;" the bill entitled "An act for the relief of the legal representatives of Jchn J. Yarnall, deceased;" also, the bill entitled "An act granting a pension to commodore Richard Taylor."
