JOURNAL OF THE HONORABLE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE TERRITORY OF NEW MEXICO. DECEMBER 4, 1854. THIS being the day prescribed by law for the Legislature of the Territory to assemble, the following persons, elected Representatives, appeared: From the county of Taos-Hon. Juan Bernadet, "Guadalupe Lujan, Felipe Sanchez, Pascual Martinez, 66 Santiago Valdez. From the county of Rio-Arriba-Hon. Diago Archuleta, Pablo Gallegos, Juan Antonio Ruival, From the county of Santa Fé -Hon. Facundo Pino, Candido Ortiz, José Baca y Delgado, From the county of San Miguel-Hon. Manuel Barela, Faustin Baca, Juan Gutierrez. 66 S. H. Hubbell, Narciso Sante Estevan, From the county of Valencia- Hon. Manuel Sanchez, 66 Antonio Chavez. From the county of Socorro-Hon. Rumaldo Baca, 66 Celso Cuellar y Medina. On motion of Mr F Pino, Hon Mr Cuellar y Medina was chosen Cairman to preside until a President shall be chosen. On motion of Mr F Pino, Mr Jesus Sena y Baca was chosen clerk On motion of Mr F Pino, pro tem. The members present came forward and presented their credentials. Mr F Pino offered the following resolution: Resolved, That the president pro tempore appoint a committee of three members to wait upon the In. Judge of the Supreme Court of this Territory, James J. Davenport, and request him to administer the oath to the members present. Which resolution was adopted. Messrs F Pino, Ortiz and Rameriz. The members present took and subscribed tho oaths of office, agreeable to the provisions of law, and took their seats as members of the House of Representatives. Whereupon, Mr F Pino moved that the house now proceed to the choice of officers. Not agreed to. Mr Rameriz moved to adjourn. Not agreed to. On motion of Mr F Pino, The rules of the last session of the Legislative Assembly were adopted by the house. On motion of Mr Fino, A committee to examine the credentials of the difierent mem bers was appointed. The committee appointed were Messrs Ortiz, Gutierrez and Gallegos. On motion of Mr F Pino, The house adjourned until 2 o'clock, P. M. AFTERNOON SESSION. The honse met pursuant to adjournment. The roll was called, and all the members answered to their names. Mr Archuleta asked permission to introduce a resolution. Not agreed to. Whereupon Mr Archuleta called for the ayes and noes. Ayes 11, noes 14. These who voted for the leave being grant.
