This most beautiful volume was executed by ROSASPINA and other first-rate artists of Italy, under the superintendence of LONGHI, at the expense of NAPOLEON. It was still unpublished at the period of his Abdication, when its progress was forbidden, and the coppers destroyed, which accounts for its extreme rarity. When copies have occurred for sale, they have fetched large sums. The plates exhibit the principal Battles and Progresses of Napoleon, displayed in the most picturesque manner, and engraved in a style inconceivably beautiful.
