Management Awareness of Employee Development and Feedback.

Strengthen review, feedback and evaluation process. The affirmative action performance and feedback process will be strengthened to communicate more frequently with Bank management and members of the Management Development and Compensation Committee on affirmative action progress. In addition, we will begin to monitor the distribution of senior staff compared to EEO census occupation and labor market availability.

Place more emphasis on "Managing Diversity" in the Bank's training & development curriculum, Work force diversity challenges managers to identify and solve problems that arise because of cultural, racial, generational, sexual orientation and gender differences. Such problems often have a direct impact on job satisfaction, morale and productivity. Approaches to managing those differences will be incorporated into the Bank's training curriculum.

Sexual Harassment Training. The Bank, working with an outside consultant, will conduct awareness and prevention training for the Bank's management staff on unlawful harassment, including sexual harassment, in 1993.

Create focus groups. The Bank will continue to use focus groups, comprised of a broad cross section of employees at various levels to review the Bank's efforts on various Personnel-related initiatives.

Work and Family. We completed a review of work and family policies in 1992 and continue to monitor our practices in this area as compared to those of other progressive employers. We have found that attention paid to work and family issues can contribute to higher employee morale and satisfaction with the Bank as an employer. A voluntary long-term care plan for employees was introduced this year which will afford employees and their families financial protection in case extended nursing home or home health care is necessary. In addition, we have introduced a referral service for Elder Care which will complement our existing Child Care Referral Service. Along with providing employees advice and information on specific child care and elder care services, we will sponsor noon-time seminars to address the important issues and concerns employees face in these

areas.
