Personalized Career Development Plan (PCDP)

A Personalized Career Development Plan (PCDP) for managers, professional staff, and professional secretaries is provided to help managers and employees do the following: (1) identify and schedule in-house training, external training, and special career development assignments targeted for current and future development goals; and (2) keep an accurate record of completed development activities.

Training Options

All in-house training options available in the Management Training and Development, Professionals Staff Training and Development, and Professional Secretarial Training and Development Curriculums are listed on separate PCDP

forms. Courses are categorized and listed under basic/core, elective, and advanced training options. Managers and employees can use this information to select the appropriate type and level of training that is required. Desired Quarter

Managers and employees also can select the desired quarter for training and development options to take place and avoid heavy work periods. The PCDP forms also will help users to keep an accurate record of all completed activities.

Other Development

Other external training or career development options can be identified and listed on the PCDP forms and scheduled in the desired quarter.
