FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF CLEVELAND There were 14 documented, in general, discrimination and harassment discussions which did not result in formal complaints. They are summarized below. Informal discussions with employees regarding issues of discrimination/harassment took place in the Fourth District during the period 1990-91. These issues resulted in no formal filings. FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF CLEVELAND MINORITY AND HOMEN CONTRACTING OUTREACH PROGRAM The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has a policy of assisting the interests of small business and socially and economically disadvantaged small business. Enclosed please find Section 4.13 "Acquisition Rules Concerning Small and Disadvantaged Small Business" of this Bank's Procurement Guidelines Manual. This Section describes the Bank's preferences for Small Business and Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Small Business through the use of set-asides, preference factors, and subcontracting. The Bank does not have policies providing preference to woman owned businesses or socially or economically disadvantaged businesses not classified as small. However, small woman-owned businesses and socially or economically disadvantaged small woman-owned businesses are provided advantage over non-covered companies. During 1991 the Bank obtained booth space at Minority Trade Fairs held in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Columbus. A reverse Trade Fair was held in Cleveland and was attended by this Bank. The Bank maintains memberships in the Cleveland Regional Minority Purchasing Council and the Cincinnati Minority Supplier Development Council. The Bank's Small Business Specialist reports directly to the Vice President level. |
