It is worthy of remark, that the term devil, occurs nowhere in the Scriptures of the Old Testament. The term Satan, however, a convertible mode of expres sion, is found 5 and it is recorded, that 'when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, Satan came also among them. But this should not excite surprise, since we are assured by the twelve disciples of Christ, that thele was not only a Satan among them, but a devil also.
