Jesper Strömbäck is Professor in media and communication and Lubbe Nordström Professor and Chair in journalism at Mid Sweden University. He is also director at the Centre for Political Communication Research there. His research specialties include political news coverage, political campaigning and political marketing, and the news coverage of wars and crises. He has published more than ten books as well as articles in scholarly journals.

Lynda Lee Kaid is Professor of telecommunication in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. Her research specialties include political advertising and news coverage of political events. She has also done work on political television in several Western European countries. She is the author/editor of more than 25 books and has written more than 150 journal articles and book chapters.
