The Essential Accessory for the Savvy Lawyer

A fabulously wicked, uncensored romp into the world of lady legal eagles of the 21st century. Sisters-in-Law takes you behind the scenes of the old boys club and lets you in on the secrets that can make you the Queen of the courtroom or at least the Diva in a dark suit.

These Sisters teach you what your law school professors didn't-about the nuts and bolts of practicing law, finding a specialty that suits your talents and moving from one firm to another-while addressing the demands of being a single gal, facing motherhood and perhaps managing a family.

This hilarious trek through the years following law school provides the new attorney, as well as any veteran, with valuable insights. This uncensored guide will keep you focused on your career-but not too much!

"FUNNY, INFORMATIVE AND UTTERLY IRREVERENT! Sisters-in-Law is
complete with real-life office antics, acres of advice and honest
reassurance [that] neophyte lawyers will find nowhere else. I wish
this book was available when I started law practice!"

Autoren-Profil (2004)

Lisa G. Sherman graduated from the University of Rochester in 1990 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science. Surrounded by a family full of physicians (all of whom hated lawyers) and deathly afraid of the sight of blood, she took refuge in law school. Deborah L. Turchiano graduated with a degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University. After becoming a casualty of the early 90's investment banking firm reductions-in-force, Ms. Turchiano decided to attend the University of Florida College of Law, where she graduated in 1993. Prior to graduating, she was a summer associate for three of the largest law firms in the country in Atlanta and New York. Jill R. Schecter attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a major (benefiting the university infamous for the free speech movement) in Rhetoric. Armed with expertise in argument-for-argument's sake and oral poetry recitation skills, she attended law school at the University of California, Los Angeles. By 1993, she had collected a law degree, a wonderful husband, and a nasty black cat.
