During the Races, a Main was fought between W. F. Brockles, Esq. (Bell, feeder) and Rawlins Satterthwaite, Esq. (Heap, feeder) for 10gs a battle, and 200 the main, which was won by the former, as under:

A Main was fought during the races, between the Gentlemen of Lancashire (Webster, feeder) and those of Cheshire (Woodcock, feeder) for 5gs a battle, and 100gs the main.

MANCHESTER.

During the Race-week, a Main was fought between the Gentlemen of Lancashire (Heap, feeder) and those of Nottinghamshire (Harrison, feeder) for 10gs a battle, and 200 the main.

Although we have repeatedly applied to the Clerk of the Course, and others, we have not been able to obtain the account of Saturday's fighting;-the Main was to consist of 41 battles.

NEWMARKET, July 12, 1814.

T a Meeting of the Stewards and Members of the Jockey Club, held this day, it was Resolved, That in future, when Easter Monday falls in March, the Craven Meeting shall begin on the Second Monday in April, and the First and Second Spring Meetings follow in the usual course; but when Easter Monday falls in April, that the Craven Meeting shall commence on Easter Monday, as usual.

TONDAY, April 10th.-The Craven Stakes, a subscription of 10gs each, for all ages; two yr olds, 5st. 10fb. three, 8st. four, 8st. 9lb. five, 9st. llb. six, 9st. 5lb. and aged, 9st. 7fb. A. F.

This subscription to close on the Thursday before running, and the horses to be entered on the Saturday before running, between eleven and one o'clock, at the King's Stables, Newmarket.

Subscriptions received at the Coffee-house, Newmarket, and at No. 7, Oxenden-street, London. Horses, &c. which have never run at Newmarket, must be shewn at the time and place of entrance.

The first Riddlesworth Stakes of 200gs each, h. ft. for the produce of mares covered in 1811; colts, 8st. 7b. and fillies, 8st. 4lb. Ab. M. untried mares, or untried stallions, allowed 31b. both, 5lb.
