Hymn.

Dismission.

WE part in body, not in mind;

Our minds continue one:

And each to each in JESUS join'd,
We hand in hand go on.

2 Our souls are in his mighty hand,
And he shall keep them still;
And you and I shall surely stand
With Him on Zion's hill!

3 Him eye to eye we there shall see;
Our face like His shall shine:
O what a glorious company
When saints and angels join!

4 O'what a joyful meeting there!
In robes of white array'd,
Palms in our hands we all shall bear,
And crowns upon our head.

5 Then let us lawfully contend,
And fight our passage through;
Bear in our faithful minds the end,
And keep the prize in view.

6 Then let us hasten to the day When all shall be brought home! Come, O REDEEMER; come away! O JESUS, quickly come!

Hymn.

Dismission.

To Thee our wants are known,
From Thee are all our pow'rs;
Accept what is Thine own,

And pardon what is ours:

Our praises, LORD, and pray'rs receive,
And to Thy Word a blessing give.

O grant that each of us

Now met before Thee here,
May meet together thus,

When Thou and Thine appear!
And follow Thee to heav'n our home:
E'en so, Amen, LORD JESUS, come.

Hymn.

Dismission.

1 LORD, dismiss us with Thy blessing;
Fill our hearts with joy and peace :
Let us all, Thy love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace.
O refresh us,

In this dry and barren place.

2 Thanks we give, and adoration,
For Thy Gospel's joyful sound;
May the fruit of Thy salvation
In our hearts and lives abound;
Ever faithful

3 So whene'er the signal's giv'n,
Us from earth to call away,
Borne on angels' wings to heav'n,
Glad the summons to obey;
May we ever

Reign with CHRIST in endless day.

Hymn.

Dismission.

MAY the grace of CHRIST our SAVIOUR,

And the FATHER'S boundless love, With the HOLY SPIRIT'S favour,

Rest upon us from above!

Thus may we abide in union

With each other, and the Lord;
And possess, in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP.

Hymn.

Primitive Christianity.

1 HAPPY the souls that first believ❜d,
TO JESUS and each other cleav'd ;
Join'd by the Unction from above,
In mystic fellowship of love.

2 Meek, simple foll'wers of the LAMB,
They liv'd, and spake, and thought the same;

They joyfully conspir'd to raise

Their ceaseless sacrifice of praise.

3 With grace abundantly endued,
A pure, believing multitude;

They all were of one heart and soul,
And only love inspir'd the whole.

4 Ye diff rent sects, who all declare,

Lo, here is CHRIST!' or, CHRIST is there!'
Your stronger proofs divinely give,
And show me where the Christians live.

Hymn.

Unity and Brotherly Love.

1 How good and pleasant 'tis to see,
When brethren cordially agree,

And kindly think and speak the same;
A family of faith and love,

Combin'd to seek the things above,

And spread the common SAVIOUR'S fame.

2 The GOD of grace, who all invites,
Who in our unity delights,

Vouchsafes our intercourse to bless;
Revives us with refreshing show'rs,
The fulness of His blessing pours,
And keeps our minds in perfect peace.

3 JESUS, Thou precious Corner-stone,
Preserve inseparably one,

Whom Thou didst by Thy SPIRIT join :
Still let us in Thy SPIRIT live,

And to Thy church the pattern give
Of unanimity divine.

4 Still let us to each other cleave,
And from Thy plenitude receive
Constant supplies of hallow'd grace;
Till to a perfect man we rise,
O'ertake our kindred in the skies,
And find prepar'd our heav'nly place.

Hymn.

Unity and Brotherly Love.

1 How sweet, how heav'nly is the sight, When those that love the Lord, In one another's peace delight,

And so fulfil His Word!

2 When each can feel his brother sigh,
And with him bear a part;
When sorrow flows from eye to eye,
And joy from heart to heart;

3 When free from envy, scorn,
Our wishes all above,

and pride,

Each can his brother's failing hide,
And show a brother's love.

4 Love is the golden chain that binds
The happy souls above;

And he's an heir of heav'n that finds
His bosom glow with love.

Hymn.

Unity und Brotherly Love implored.

1 JESUS, from whom all blessings flow,
Great Builder of Thy church below,
If now Thy SPIRIT moves my breast,
Hear, and fulfil Thine own request!
