Agreeably to notice, Mr. Clemens asked and obtained leave to bring in a resolution (S. R. 45) in relation to the public printing; which was read the first and second times by unanimous consent, and referred to the Committee on Printing.

Mr. Dodge, of Iowa, agreeably to notice, asked and obtained leave to bring in a resolution (S. R. 46) for the purchase of the half-breed tract on Lake Pepin, in Minnesota Territory; which was read the first and second times by unanimous consent, and referred to the Committee on Indian Affairs.
