(5) All corrections and alterations in said page proofs shall be made as indicated in said pages by the Reporter.

(6) After said page proofs have been returned and the corrections and alterations made as thereon indicated, contractor shall furnish to said Reporter proofs thereof in pages, eight of a kind, to be made in bunches, eight of a kind. (7) After all corrections and alterations in said pages have been made as indicated by the Reporter and Judges, proof of which is furnished, the contractor shall furnish the Reporter proofs of all plates, and shall make all corrections and alterations therein indicated by said Reporter, and shall furnish proofs thereof.

(8) Proof of all opinions, syllabi, table of cases, index and all corrections shall be furnished by the contractor to the Reporter, and delivered at the office of the Reporter of the Supreme Court.

All charges of time for changes from original copy, after type is set, shall be certified to as having been ordered by the Reporter, and must also be accompanied by an affidavit from the contractor, or his agent or agents, certifying that such charge is just and proper.

No extra charge for alterations and corrections will be allowed unless such alterations or corrections are made at the instance of the Supreme Court Reporter, and by him certified as proper charge to the Bureau of Printing. In no case will charges be allowed for taking out and replacing imperfect type, either before or after same has been plated.

The contractor in accepting the work of printing the Supreme and Appellate Court reports will be required to give a bond in the sum of $10,000, with approved security, and such bond shall be filed with bid.

Any bidder who shall be awarded the contract shall maintain an office in the city of Indianapolis of sufficient capacity for the transaction of all business under said contract, and all work done under said contract shall be performed within the State of Indiana. The contractor shall not assign or sub-let the same, or any portion thereof, to any other party without the written consent of the Board of Public Printing, Binding and Stationery.

As to the quality of the binding of the Supreme and Appellate Court Reports, special attention of bidders is called to the sample report to be seen in office of Secretary of State.

All bids shall be to deliver all reports and plates to the office of Secretary of State without extra charge.

All work on these reports shall be done, as furnished by the Reporter of the Supreme Court, speedily and without unnecessary delay; and should there be such delay, the contractor shall pay to the State, as a penalty therefor, the sum of $20.00 per day; the amounts due the State in such penalties to be subtracted from amount due contractor at any settlement period. Said penalty to be determined and imposed by the Board, if, after a thorough investigation by the Board, said delay has been found to be unnecessary and the fault of the contractor.

Bidders on Supreme and Appellate Court Reports must accompany bid with whole sheet samples of 50 and 60-lb. white paper, as bid on in item one; also sheet of 50-lb. 24x36 manilla paper, as bid on in item six. Paper must be properly labeled.

In accepting the contract the contractor is required to accept all the conditions set out above in reference to the printing and binding of the Supreme and Appellate Court Reports and the furnishing of proof to the Reporter, as required herein.

In the preparation of the above specifications the Board has endeavored to fully explain and classify items in such a way that bids may be made intelligently and with equal fairness to the State and bidders.
