THE following outline of an autobiography was prepared by Franklin, apparently before beginning the work. The first paragraph covers the printed portion. The second intimates what topics the author would have taken up had he been able to finish his work. It would be an interesting task for a student to pick out from his letters what Franklin did say under the several heads in the second paragraph.
