Born in London of Welsh and Malay Chinese parents, Thammy Evans has traveled, lived, and worked abroad for over fifteen years, especially in China and southeast Europe. Her professional career has ranged from travel-guide author to business development and political analyst in Macedonia, and she has served in the Territorial Army in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iraq.
