Walter Davies, consists, with a few exceptions, of his miscellaneous English wri-tings. The longer pieces were, for the most part, contributed at various times to different periodical publications connected with the Principality, and their high merit has been universally acknowledged by all competent judges. The Letters, of which a considerable number appear in the volume, mostly relate to Cambrian history, archæology, and general literature; and, while they are calculated to throw light on many of those subjects, it is hoped that they are not altogether devoid of interest for general readers.
