This morning we will consider the budget estimates for the General Accounting Office for the fiscal year 1972 which total $87,598,000. This figure includes $4,348,000 for increased pay costs. After taking into consideration pending supplementals for 1971 for increased pay and other costs, the net increase requested is $7,607,000. REQUEST FOR NEW POSITIONS How many new positions are you requesting in 1972? Mr. STAATS. We are asking for 177 additional average employment. Mr. ANDREWS.
