(Gilliver, feeder) for 5gs a battle, and 200 the main, and won by the latter as follows: During the race-week, a Main was fought between the Earl of Derby (Potter, feeder) and T. Legh, Esq. (Gilliver, feeder) for 10gs a battle, and 200 the main, which was won by his Lordship, as follows: STAMFORD. A Main was fought during the race-week between the Gentlemen of Bedfordshire (Flemming, feeder) and those of Warwickshire (Bindley, feeder) consisting of 29 battles and 14 byes, for 10gs a battle, and 200 the main, which was a drawn one, each party winning 14, and one battle being drawn, the bye battles were also equal, as follows: A Main was fought during the races, for 10gs a battle, and 200gs the main, between the Gentlemen of Cheshire (Philips, feeder) and the Gentlemen of Montgomeryshire (Sparrow, feeder) and won by the latter, as under: The long Main, fought during the race-week, between the Gentlemen of Northumberland and those of Durham, terminated on Saturday, in favour of the latter, 20 to 15there was one drawn battle.
