Kund und zu wißen sey iedermånniglich daß ich Georg Lorenz von dem Städtchen Belvidere, in Greenwich Townschip, Suffer County, Staat von Neu Jersey (Brandeweinbrenner) für und in Rücksicht der Summa von zwanzig Pfund welche mir zur Zeit und vor der Besiegelung und lle berlieferung des Gegenwärtigen auebezahlt worden sind, von William Joyce von Nieder Mount Bethel Townschip, Northampton County, Staat von Pennsylvanien (Kaufmann) deren Empfang ich hiermit quit tire, habe verhandelt und verkauft, und thue durch Gegenwärtiges vera handeln und verkaufen an den befagten William Joyce, alle die Waaren, Hausgeräthe und Zubehör zur Haushaltung, und alle andre Waare ir gend einer Urt, welche in dem hier angehängten Verzeichniß angeführt sind, welche gegenwärtig verbleiben und find in meinem Wohnhaus und den dazu gehörigen Außenbäuden, gelegen in dem vorbesagten Städtchen Belvidere. Und ich, der besagte Georg Lorenz, für mich selbst, meine fecuto. ren und Adminiftratoren, und alle und jede der besagten Waaren, für den besagten William Joyce, feine Executoren, und Udministratoren, ges gen mich den befagten Georg Lorenz, seine Executoren, Adminiftratoren oder Bevollmächtigte, und gegen alle und jede andere Perfon oder Perso nen, wer immer es sey, soll und will versichern, und auf immer durch_dies Jes Gegenwärtige vertheidigen; von welchen Waaren ich, der befagte Georg Lorenz, den befagten William Joyce in vollkommenem Befiß ges Stellt habe, durch Ueberlieferung eines filbernen Eslöffels und einer pors zellanenen Kaffeekanne, an denfelben, bey der Besiegelung dieses Gegens wärtigen. 12. Articles of Agreement for the sale and conveyance of

an estate.

Articles of Agreement indented, made, concluded and agreed upon between Noah Seller, of the Borough of Stroudsburg, in the county of Northampton, and state of Pennsylvania. (Esquire) of the one part, and James Boyer of Bushkill township, in the same county and state, (Blacksmith) of the other part, as followeth, to wit:

FIRST. The said Noah Seller in consideration of the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars, United States Currency, to be paid as herein after is mentioned, doth hereby covenant and agree with the said James Boyer, that he the said Noah Seller shall and will, at the costs and charges of the said James Boyer on or before the first day of April next ensuing, by such conveyances, ways and means in the law, as his counsel shall ad'vise, well and sufficiently grant, convey and assure to the said James Boyer and his heirs, or to whom he or they shall appoint, and to such uses as he or they shall direct, all that certain tract of land, situate in Hamilton township, in the county and state before mentioned, adjoining the turnpikeroad leading from Easton to Wilkesbarre, and lands of Abel Fall, Joel Burrow and others, containing one hundred and ten acres and usual allowance, together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, with covenants to be therein contained, against all incrumbances done or committed by him the said Noah Selier.

And the said James Boyer for himself, his heirs and assigns, doth covenant and grant to and with the said Noah Seller his heirs and assigns, That he the said James Boyer shall and will, on executing the said Conveyance, pay unto the said Noah Seller, his heirs or assigns the sum of one thousand dollars United States curtency, the further sum of five hundred dollars on the twenty seventh day of May which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen; the like sum of five hundred dollars on the twenty seventh day of May which will be in the year of ourLord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen; and the like sum of five hundred dollars on the twenty seventh day of May, which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, together with lawful interest on the two last payments from the first of April next ensuing, as and for the purchase money for the said tract of land above mentioned.

And it is further agreed by and between the said parties to these pres ents, That the said James Boyer his Heirs and assigns, shall and may enter into and upon the said premises, and receive the profits thereof to his and their own use on the day of executing the conveyance aforesaid, except a small loghouse near the spring in Joel Burrows line, and a small lot of ground containing about two acres adjoining, which is to reš main in the possession and occupancy of the said Noah Seller, his heirs or assigns until the twenty seventh November one thousand eight hundred and sixteen free of rent or any other charge..
