3 For GOD the LORD, enthron'd in state, 4 Oh let us to His courts repair, PSALM XCV. III Metre. (S.M.) 1 COME, sound His praise abroad, JEHOVAH is the sov'reign GOD, 2 He form'd the deeps unknown; He gave the seas their bound ; The wat'ry worlds are all His own, And all the solid ground.. 3 Come, worship at His throne, Come, bow before the LORD; We are His work, and not our own, He form'd us by His word. 4 With humble souls adore, Come, kneel before His face; PSALM XCVI, (S. M.) An exhortation to sing the praises of MESSIAH, and to publish the glad tidings of his kingdom. This Psalm was composed by King David on the occasion of bringing the ark of GOD to Jerusalem. 1 Chron. xvi. 10SING unto the LORD; New songs of glory raise; 2 His great salvation shew, 3 Glorious is His abode; The heav'ns and earth He made; 4 His throne is righteousness; 5 Proclaim MESSIAH, King; To judge the world He comes, In righteousness divine: His foes shall hear their awful dooms, PSALM XCVII. (Old 148) This Psalm again celebrates the reign of MESSIAN, and the nations are again called upon to rejoice and give thanks in his triumphs. 1 THE LORD JEHOVAч reigns, Peace dwells in His domains, 2 Before the mighty LORD, The hills and mountains melt; 3 Glorious He reigns on high; Exalted is His name ; He guards His saints; in Him rejoice; 4. His truth and grace make known; For you His light is sown, In peace and joy of heart: Ye righteous, in your LORD rejoice, Give thanks and praise with grateful voice. PSALM XCVII. II Metre. (L.M) 1 HE reigns; the LORD, the SAVIOUR reigns; Praise Him in high exalted strains; Let the whole earth in songs rejoice, 2 Deep are His counsels and unknown; 3 In robes of judgment, lo! He comes, 4 His enemies, with sore dismay, Fly from the sight, and shun the day! PSALM XCVIII. (7,7) The prophet extols the victory and triumphs of JEHOVAH, and calls upon man, and the whole creation, to rejoice and give thanks. 1 PR RAISE JEHOVAH, on His throne, His right hand, and holy arm, 3 Heathen lands, your songs employ, 4 Raise your joyful anthems high, 5 Let the sea's majestic roar Sound His praise from shore to shore; 6 Lo! from heav'n behold Him come! 1 S PSALM XCVIII.
