The Farmers' Plate, a sweepstakes of one guinea each, with a purse added, one mile heats, as won at two heats by

Mr. Richmond's b. c. St. George, four years old (J. Henderson), beating nine others, but he yas objected to on the ground of being entered as half-bred. The race was continued, when Mr Clarke's ch. m. Sunbeam won the two succeeding heats and claimed the stakes, but was also objected to as not being qualified according to the articles.
