Gafcoigne, and relict of John Adolphus S. an eminent Dutch merchant in London, to whom fhe was married Apr. 4, 1749, and by whom the had one daughter, married to Alexander Hume, efq, of Wimpole-tr. 1779.

He is fucceeded in his title and estate by his fon, Sir P. J.-The manner of his death is fomewhat remarkable: he was feized with a shivering in his lips; prefently afterwards his head fwelled to an enormous fize; and he died in fix hours.
