CHAP. 223. An ACT for the relief of John Dougherty, of Wisconsin. [SEC. 1.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repreentatives of the United States of America in Congress assemled, That John Dougherty of the Territory of Wisconsin, be, J. Dougherty nd is hereby, authorized to enter at the land office at Mineral 'oint, in the Territory aforesaid, by paying the minimum price land, a land or the same, section number twelve, of township number two, Point, by paying 1 range number three east, in the district of land subject to sale at price of the Mineral Point; the said section being the same that was granted > his wife Mary, the daughter of Kee-no-kee, by stipulations mbraced in the treaty entered into by and between the United States and the Winnebago tribe of Indians, at Prairie du Chien, August first, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine. Provided, That Proviso. he certificate of the said John Dougherty, and the patent to be ssued thereon, shall recite the provisions of this act, as the auhority, by virtue of which his said entries have been made, and also how that such entries were made in right of his wife; and if the aid John Dougherty shall abandon, or in any other manner sepaate from his said wife Mary, during her lifetime, then all the right, itle, and interest in and to said section, and every part thereof, hall vest in said Mary, and inure to the sole benefit of herself ind her children.
